Paint On Metal, THEME OF SCULPTURE
BARN’S SHOW
New Fairfield, CT, June. 25, 2011 -- Sculpture Barn, a multi-use
art facility located here at 3 Milltown Road and Rt. 39, will hold its Paint on Metal exhibition from June 25 through July 31. Sculpture Barn consists
of a teaching Atelier, Gallery and Sculpture Field, and serves as the living
quarters for David Boyajian, the nationally acclaimed sculptor who runs the
complex.
A
reception, free to the public, opens the show on Saturday, June,25 , 2 - 6 pm,
with many of it represented artists in attendance. Regular gallery hours are
from noon to 6 pm, Wednesday through Sunday, and by appointment on other days.
The
Paint on Metal showcases new sculpture and installations by developing regional
artists who participate in Boyajian’s workshops and classes, as well as the art
of working professionals. Among the featured Atelier artists are Barbara Stogo,
Scarsdale, NY; Jim Hunter NYC, Chelsea Steinberg Gay, Cindy Booth, David McNeil, Denis
Folz, Judith Rowley, Murray Bodin Nancy Smith, Paul Krause, Richard
Pitt, Steve Brooks, Gabriel Boyajian, David Boyajian, Mark Cheung, Jerome Harris Parment, B.A.D'Alessandro, Marie O'Neill and Featuring Cold Springs artist Herman Roggeman.
Beneath
the 3,000 square foot Gallery in the historic L-shaped Sculpture Barn, is the
equally spacious Atelier -- a fully equipped metal shop where Boyajian creates
his commissioned works, and teaches private students throughout the year. He is
also on the faculty of Norwalk Community College and Western State Connecticut
College in Danbury, CT.
