The Gallery hosts a spectrum
of visual art exhibitions featuring sculpture, paintings and works on paper by noted national, regional, and emerging artists.

The 3000 sq. ft. space is also used for events staged amid the art on display.
Most exhibitions feature an event that promotes dialogue between our artists and collectors such as readings, lectures, or documentary films.

Paint On Metal, THEME OF SCULPTURE BARN’S SHOW

New Fairfield, CT, June. 25, 2011 -- Sculpture Barn, a multi-use art facility located here at 3 Milltown Road and Rt. 39, will hold its Paint on Metal exhibition from June 25 through July 31. Sculpture Barn consists of a teaching Atelier, Gallery and Sculpture Field, and serves as the living quarters for David Boyajian, the nationally acclaimed sculptor who runs the complex.

            A reception, free to the public, opens the show on Saturday, June,25 , 2 - 6 pm, with many of it represented artists in attendance. Regular gallery hours are from noon to 6 pm, Wednesday through Sunday, and by appointment on other days.

            The Paint on Metal showcases new sculpture and installations by developing regional artists who participate in Boyajian’s workshops and classes, as well as the art of working professionals. Among the featured Atelier artists are Barbara Stogo, Scarsdale, NY; Jim Hunter NYC, Chelsea Steinberg Gay, Cindy Booth, David McNeil, Denis Folz, Judith Rowley, Murray Bodin Nancy Smith, Paul Krause, Richard Pitt, Steve Brooks, Gabriel Boyajian, David Boyajian, Mark Cheung, Jerome Harris Parment, B.A.D'Alessandro, Marie O'Neill and Featuring Cold Springs artist Herman Roggeman.

           Beneath the 3,000 square foot Gallery in the historic L-shaped Sculpture Barn, is the equally spacious Atelier -- a fully equipped metal shop where Boyajian creates his commissioned works, and teaches private students throughout the year. He is also on the faculty of Norwalk Community College and Western State Connecticut College in Danbury, CT.

Sculpture Barn is located on the New Fairfield / Danbury line in rural Western Connecticut nestled between New York’s culturally rich Hudson River Valley region to the west, Fairfield County to the south and the Litchfield hills to the north, and is just an hour from mid-town Manhattan by car with access to and from the city via Metro-North’s Harlem Line.

From New York City & Westchester County - Interstate 684 until it ends, merging with Rt. 22 North toward Pawling. Turn right at 1st traffic light onto Milltown Rd., drive 4 miles to the end. Sculpture Barn is the last driveway on the right at Rt. 39.

From New York’s Hudson River Valley - Interstate 84 East to exit 20N. Merge onto Rt. 22 North towards Pawling. (Repeat instructions above)

From lower Fairfield County, CT - Rt. 7 until it becomes Interstate 84 East in Danbury. Follow 84 East for one mile to exit 5 (downtown Danbury exit) . Turn left at the traffic light onto Rt. 39 North and proceed for 5 miles exactly to Milltown Rd., left onto Milltown. Sculpture Barn is the first driveway on left on the Danbury/New Fairfield line.

From New Haven and Hartford Counties, CT - Interstate 84 West to exit 5 (downtown Danbury exit). (Repeat Fairfield County instructions above)

From Litchfield County, CT - Rt. 7 to Gaylordsville, make a right onto Rt. 55, bear left onto Rt. 39, proceeding to the juncture of Rts. 39 and 37 in Sherman. Stay left on Rt. 39, passing Candlewood Lake on your left to New Fairfield. Sculpture Barn is at Milltown Rd. and Rt. 39 on the Danbury city line.
